Our History
Founded in 1902 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, Maynards is a distinguished fine art and antiques auction house, known for selling many of the province’s great estates. The company relocated its headquarters to Vancouver in 1956 and, over the following decades, established offices worldwide. In 2023, we moved to our new showroom at 5000 Minoru Blvd in Richmond where we are now currently.
While all our auctions are now conducted exclusively online, we invite clients to preview items for upcoming auctions in person at our showroom prior to bidding. Our showroom offers an opportunity to view the pieces firsthand, enhancing the online auction experience.
We welcome both new and experienced clients as both buyers and sellers, and are pleased to advise them in the following areas: Glass and Ceramics, International Art, Asian Works of Art, Canadian Art, Northwest Coast and Inuit Art, Jewellery, Silver, Designer Fashions, Firearms and Militaria, and Oriental Rugs and textiles.
